MKP Solutions is my business. I am a dedicated mentor / tutor with a passion for modern foreign languages and the development of others so that they can expand their knowledge of Spanish and French whilst progressing at their own pace.
One to one Spanish and French tuition is tailored specifically to you. From basic conversation for holidays, work or to just getting those little grey cells going through to and including GCSE level, MKP solutions strives to make lessons interactive and fun with a focus on speaking the language with confidence. Knowing another language unlocks doors to other cultures, opportunities and people.
Where there is communication – there is understanding.
Marielle Patterson
After 27 years in the corporate world and having been made redundant – what next? Marielle turned to her passion for languages – they had been part of her life since the year dot. She swapped the corporate rat race life and turned to education setting up MKP Solutions – mentoring others, sharing knowledge and allowing students to progress at their pace.
Spanish and French tuition tailor made according to the needs of her clients aged 6 to 65 plus. The nature of tuition however is that is mostly after school so what to do during school time ? – well keeping with the education theme, alongside the self-employed life as a tutor, Marielle also works part-time as a Primary school teaching assistant. When she was at school, careers advice was “well you love languages so you should be a teacher”. Adamant all those years ago, not to follow a potentially “stereotypical” path, Marielle studied Contemporary European Studies with Spanish with majors in Economics and Spanish spending a year abroad at the University of Zaragoza School of Business.
Graduating and starting working life as an assistant to a financial controller for a European promotions company before moving into Project Management and then a long term career in EDI with support, people and project management roles at Sterling Commerce and IBM. Redundancy reversed the corporate trend and now that careers advice came back into play – tutor/mentor/coach – helping others develop a skill – it just happens to be in a foreign language!
