Hi! My name is Karen Livingstone, and I’m the brains behind Little Acorn Marketing. I started the business back in 2010 as a way to do something I loved and escape the shackles of the corporate world. I had been working in corporate marketing for most of my adult life – and I was good at it too. But right around the time I become a European marketing manager I took a break to have my kids, and afterwards I didn’t really want to go back.
I’d been doing some freelance work for a small PR company during that time, marketing events and even going on sales pitches, when it occurred to me that this was something other small business owners needed. Someone with a marketing background who could come in and run their marketing for them, leaving them free to focus on the things they loved about their business.
